The client urgently sought to migrate their pizza delivery application from a third-party system to an in-house solution. Relying on a third party for system management had led to significant hurdles in scalability, cost, and flexibility. Consequently, they sought to develop a user interface (UI) on a contemporary single-page application framework capable of seamless operation across both mobile and web browsers.
Solution
Our dedicated team devised a server-side rendered pizza delivery application using Next.js and GraphQL for streamlined HTTP requests. Given the complexity of the project, which entailed intricate logic trees accommodating diverse user-customizable deals and pizza modifications, our approach was meticulous. Through a combination of reducing checkout flow steps, implementing server-side rendering, and adhering to progressive web application principles, we achieved a remarkable 40% enhancement in online ordering speed for both web and mobile applications.
